Wandering Arts Biennial

The Wandering Arts Biennial explored situations and produced works with a focus on urban mobility and the nomadic practices of artists. Mira Sanders curated the event in 2018 with Maud Salembier. The central question was how someone or a group could form an image through wandering along one or more borders. These could be political, historical, cultural, social, physical or geographical in nature. TMML designed the headquarters for this third edition of the Wandering Arts Biennial. Black-and-white copies of projects and photographs by the invited artists served as a wall installation, works and objects by the participants were on display and a library provided a frame of reference. The ‘headquarters’ were also the central meeting place and starting point and info point of the biennial, and was completely designed by TMML.
